Yuriy was a graduate of the Moscow State Ballet Academy. He studied and trained at the Academy between 1993 and 2001. On leaving the Academy he began his professional career performing as a soloist with the “Classical Ballet” under the direction of Kasatkina and Vasilyov. He was also the soloist with “Russian Ballet” under the direction of Gordeev. In 2009 he joined “Tchaikovsky Ballet” as soloist. Starting in 2010 he is became one of the Prima soloists of the Russian Classical Ballet. His professional repertoire comprises: “Swan Lake” – the characters of Siegfried, Rothbart and pas de deux. “Romeo and Juliet” – Romeo, Tibald. “Sleeping Beauty” – Blue Bird and one of 4 cavaliers “Nutcracker”– Prince, pas de deux, Spanish dance and pas de troix “Carmen”- Toreador and many others. He has toured and performed in many countries around the world including: Japan, Korea, China, New Zealand, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Ireland, Serbia, Portugal, etc.
